Jagran Lakecity University: Library

The library at Jagran Lakecity University is envisioned as a seamless dialogue between heritage and contemporary learning. Rather than erasing the past, the design embraces it—retaining the existing marble flooring with its distinctive geometric inlays and allowing it to become the foundation for a renewed spatial identity. This familiar architectural element is complemented by a curated palette of warm timber, soft neutrals, and modern Art Deco-inspired furniture, creating an environment that feels both timeless and relevant.

Clean-lined shelving, elegant reading stations, and inviting lounge seating introduce a sense of refinement without overwhelming the existing character of the space. A sculptural timber feature sweeps across the glazed façade, softening the architecture while framing expansive views and drawing natural light deep into the interior. Thoughtfully layered lighting further enhances the calm, welcoming atmosphere, encouraging moments of quiet study as well as informal interaction.
